Lake Victoria
Lake Victoria is the largest lake in Africa and the world’s second-largest freshwater lake by surface area, after Lake Superior. It spans an area of about 68,800 square kilometers (26,600 square miles) and is bordered by three countries: Tanzania, Uganda, and Kenya.

Geography: The lake is situated in East Africa’s Great Rift Valley and is at an elevation of about 1,134 meters (3,720 feet) above sea level. Its major inflow is the White Nile, which originates from the lake and flows northward to Egypt.
